Use Alfera in your coding tools

Your company brain is an MCP server. Search it and read it from the editor you already work in, on the workspace's own key.

MCP

Read the brain from your editor

Point any MCP client at one URL with a workspace key. There is nothing else to configure.

Authorization: Bearer <your workspace key>

Streamable HTTP. One endpoint, no session to open or close.

What your editor can call

  • whoamiany keyReports the key's name, scopes and rate limit. Call it first.
  • search_memorymemory.readReturns the passages that match a query, most relevant first, each with its slug.
  • get_memory_documentmemory.readReads one synced document in full, by the slug a search result returned.
  • get_memory_contextmemory.readReturns the same passages rendered as one block, for pasting into your own prompt.
  • ask_agentanswers.writeAsks an agent a question and waits for the answer.
  • wait_for_answeranswers.writeKeeps waiting for an answer that started earlier.
  • list_agentsagents.readLists the agents you can open a session with.
  • create_sessionsessions.writeOpens a session with an agent and sends its first message.
  • send_messagesessions.writeSends the next message into a session you opened.
  • wait_for_sessionsessions.readWaits for the session to stop working and hands back what it said.
  • get_sessionsessions.readReads a session: status, agent, spend, and the last reply.
  • confirm_toolsessions.writeAllows or denies a tool call the session is holding for approval.
  • list_session_filessessions.readLists the files a session produced.
  • list_automationsautomations.readLists the standing jobs and every way each one starts.
  • get_automationautomations.readReads one standing job: its instruction, status, and triggers.
  • create_automationautomations.writeCreates a standing job on a schedule, an app event, a webhook, or a button.
  • trigger_automationautomations.writeStarts a standing job now. A repeated key lands on the first run.
  • get_usageusage.readReads what the workspace spent and the credit it has left.
  • list_integrationsintegrations.readLists the apps the workspace is connected to.
  • list_skillsskills.readLists the skills an agent can load.

A key lists only the tools its scopes allow. A read-only key never sees the write tools.

The session tools drive the agent, not just its memory — so they are for your own keys, never one you hand an end user.
